AliDropship Review – Pros, Cons and Pricing

I know when just getting started as a beginner, I learned the hard way that manually importing AliExpress products into your eCommerce store is painstaking, and not at all viable.

In order to run an AliExpress dropshipping business, you NEED a plugin that can import products into your eCommerce store.

Literally, I almost died without one (don't do it manually).

It makes sense, you need a plugin that can automate your drop-shipping based business.

That's one of the best perks of this business model!

Yet with all the monthly fees and different options from eCommerce platforms, what should you and I choose? Where does AliDropship compare among the others?

In this AliDropship review, I'm not going to try and sell you on it, yet rather explain how I use it, and how you can utilize it as well in your business.

In the first place, AliDropship allows you to import AliExpress products into an eCommerce store on your own WordPress site. This allows you to easily get started with your dropshipping based business.

One of the best features of AliDropship is it's ability to just work, and that it allows you to turn your entire WordPress site into a fully functioning dropshipping eCommerce store with one plugin.

Few other companies really give you such a simple process to crafting your drop shipping business and website.

You can make things simple to start with as a beginner with their pre-built themes as shown above.

Additionally, you can also choose to integrate a WooCommerce store with their plugin if you'd like to if you'd rather choose to use a more open source and customizable system.

I'll break down the exact differences between these two types of AliDropship based stores and plugins further into this review.

This extension allows you to automatically import AliExpress products right into your eCommerce store.

The AliDropship chrome extension also allows you to manage more than one website:

As shown above, you an add another website to your list and select between each one when importing new products.

This is incredibly useful for store owners that have more than one website to manage.

When using the chrome extension, the processs is quite simple. To demonstrate, you simply search for a desired niche:

Then scroll to the product you want to import:

Then, you just click the orange import button and it sends the product right into your eCommerce store.

It's important to note that you do want to select "ePacket" as your shipping method of choice.

You can do this by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of your browser, and then select your target country and ePacket shipping:

This is typically the fastest shipping option for many products when dropshipping from AliExpress. You can expect them to arrive to your customers in around 10-15 days.

Another feature that is included within AliDropship is their product review import option.

If you want to import some of the AliExpress product reviews into your store, you can do that with the click of a few buttons.

First, go to the AliDropship main menu:

Select "Import Reviews".

Then, you have a variety of different options when selecting what kinds of reviews you want to import:

You can choose whatever options you like, and then their system will automatically import these reviews as comments on your eCommerce products pages.

Typically this kind of feature is not included in most plugins, and is something you have to pay extra for.

I personally really find this feature valuable to be able to display social proof when importing new products into your store.

In any event, one of the most satisfying aspects of a dropshipping store is fulfilling orders. With AliDropship, you can do this quite easily as shown below:

This task does prove to be a bit tedious with many orders, yet with their data entry automation makes it much less painful, and quite quick to process your orders.

When building an eCommerce store with the AliDropship plugin, your store is built on the WordPress system. In order to run this website, you need a hosting company to host your website.

Notably, you also need an SSL certificate in order to sell eCommerce products on your website and securely process payments from your customers.

The hosting company I personally recommend and use, is Bluehost. They offer you a free domain and SSL when signing up.

Of course if you already have WordPress, or a domain host, then by all means continue to use them. This is just my personal recommendation if you're getting started and want something easy to use.

Additionally, AliDropship also offers hosting if you're looking to make things even simpler. However they do not give you a free domain, in which you can always purchase a cheap domain name at NameCheap.com.

When getting started with AliDropship, you'll notice that there are two different plugins that are both included in their package. Which one you want to choose to go download and install does depend on a few key factors.

It's very important to decide the right one for the goals of your website to save yourself some headaches long term.

First let's review each of the AliDropship plugin features:

As you can see, the difference between the two plugins are not actually vastly different from one to another. Ultimately, which plugin to choose depends on the goals you have.

All in all if you just need a simple and quick way to get a drop-shipping store up and running, then their standard plugin is better for you. Their built in themes, and WordPress install will make the entire setup process much easier as a beginner.

However, if you ever plan to grow beyond only drop-shipping from AliExpress, then you probably want to use the Woo version of the plugin. With WooCommerce integration, you have a lot more options long term.

Not to mention, if you ever change your mind from the standard plugin, you have to do a complete re-install of WordPress, which can be quite a hassle.

Notably, one of the most popular AliExpress dropshipping alternatives to AliDropship is Oberlo. The Oberlo plugin runs on the Shopify platform. The plugin itself is free to start, however you do pay monthly once you reach a certain threshold of orders.

You can get started with Oberlo and Shopify, to start your dropshipping eCommerce store. It is a little cheaper upfront at just $29 per month for Shopify, but in the long term you end up paying much more in monthly fees.

Personally, that's why I prefer to use AliDropship since it's all on WordPress and you own the pages. Not to mention, you only pay one time to use the plugin, and it's only a few dollars per month to host your website.

Nevertheless, putting together an entire website and eCommerce store can be a tough challenge for non-techy people. Not to mention, choosing the right niche, products to sell, and everything else that comes along with starting a business.

Despite how simple it is to get started, there are also a lot of advertisements and future promises of success with little work in drop-shipping, and that's so far from the truth.

Avoid looking at people's "revenue claims" and thinking that they're making loads of money. All that actually matters in business is the actual net profit. Don't get baited into some scummy sales pitch on how to explode your business fast with flashy sales numbers, sports cars, and big houses.

This isn't a get rich quick scheme by any means. It does take actual work and operating this model like a real business to succeed long term.

At the end of the day, dropshipping is just an order fulfillment method, and you still need to manage to get traffic to your site and people that want to purchase your products.
