Effectively, it's the closest you can get to a version of Oberlo for WooCommerce. In fact, it's even better.

In either case, the platfrom alone isn't just a popularity contest. When deciding what to build a business on, you probably want to build it on a solid base.

Personally, I would much rather go with the platform that is tried and true over the years.

Not to mention, the Shopify terms of service under section 4, has this sneaky bit of wording:

Now I honestly doubt that this happens often, if ever, but it's a scary thought that your entire business could be erased in the blink of an eye.

Whereas, with WordPress, you have 100% ownership over your website and digital asset.

Why Use An Oberlo Alternative?

I've used the Shopify system for a number of years, and I honestly think it's a great platform. I actually used to recommend it quite frequently to those looking to get into dropshipping.

However...

With the power of WordPress being free to use, there had to be another option for dropshipping.

After doing some research to find a good Oberlo alternative, I was astonished at how much money can be saved.

Additionally, there may be other Shopify apps you want to utilize as well to run your eCommerce store.

As can be seen, this is an example of the kinds of expenses that can add up by using this platform. You also may need to install other plugins for email marketing, abandoned carts, landing pages, data tracking, and more.

Whereas in contrast, the AliDropship Woo plugin has no monthly fees or expensive integration costs. You only pay once to use it.

With the help of the AliDropship plugin, this is my favorite Oberlo alternative, for an experience like Oberlo for WooCommerce and WordPress.

Mostly because, well, no more monthly fees for your plugins and eCommerce solution 🙂 Additionally, it works on the WordPress platform that is open source, and has way more expand-ability.

Open source means that the development is a volunteer based organization, and is not a for profit company just looking to squeeze every dollar out of you.

Overall, WordPress is a proven content management system that allows you to many more things than even just eCommerce on your website.

You have full control and freedom, which is something I find quite valuable when dedicating time and energy into a business.

In order to get started with this system it's quite simple. It's important to mention this isn't the only configuration you can use, but rather a recommended path.

Step 1: First, get yourself setup with hosting and WordPress.

Step 2: Next, you need to install WooCommerce (it's free).

Step 3: Lastly, you go ahead and get The AliDropship Woo plugin.

With this setup, you have everything you need in order to start a successful online dropshipping business.

There's no need for any extra monthly fees beyond your web hosting plan, which is only a couple bucks a month anyway.

All things considered, when trying to find a plugin like Oberlo for WooCommerce, it's hard to find a good solution. Thankfully, AliDropship Woo will give you that at a reasonable price.

It's quite refreshing to see a company not focused on offering monthly recurring fees for their plugin.
